Carnival of Lights was a truly illuminating procession, taking participants from Foleshill to Coventry’s City Centre on Sunday 3 November 2019. The carnival featured: - Flavours of Coventry float, featuring local artists presented by Sunit Music: Shivam, Jayden, Hitesh Joshi, Lyra, Heenay and Raina - Juggy Rihal and Masterclass Dhol Drummers alongside lanterns created by the Foleshill community - The Lotus Flower Float, pyro performers, stilt walkers and fabulously illuminated Bollywood dancers with LED umbrellas Brought to you by Coventry UK City of Culture 2021, Remarkable Productions, Nukhut, Stadium, with volunteer support from EnV, Mercia Lions and Coventry Sikh Union. Special thanks to Daksha Piparia, Gurdip Junjuha and Kitty Kaur from Foleshill Creates, the grassroots artists who co-created the lanterns in workshops with members of the local community.
